When I started my own writing site a while back, I had the opportunity to <a target="_blank" href="http://workingwritersandbloggers.com/2009/09/21/interview-patricia-%E2%80%9Ctricia%E2%80%9D-crisafulli/">interview </a>her. But being the super nice person that she is, she had me back on her site again!</p>
<p><img src="http://cherieblogs.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/12/faithhopefiction.jpg" alt="faithhopefiction" title="faithhopefiction" width="500" height="318" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-957" /></p>
<p>This time I&#8217;m on with a <a target="_blank" href="http://www.faithhopeandfiction.com/documents/His%20Child.pdf">poem </a>from my book <em><a target="_blank" href="http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/0978974700?ie=UTF8&#038;tag=wwwthediffere-20&#038;linkCode=as2&#038;camp=1789&#038;creative=9325&#038;creativeASIN=0978974700">Father&#8217;s Eyes</a><img src="http://www.assoc-amazon.com/e/ir?t=wwwthediffere-20&#038;l=as2&#038;o=1&#038;a=0978974700" width="1" height="1" border="0" alt="" style="border:none !important; margin:0px !important;" /></em> entitled &#8220;<em>His Child, Not Yours</em>.&#8221; I wrote the poem one day when I was having a bad day and was reflecting back on my faith. Because here&#8217;s the thing, even when I&#8217;m having a rough time, even when I scream out and ask God why these terrible things are happening to me, I&#8217;m still God&#8217;s child. I will always be. </p>
<p>As I thought about this, I imagined the devil taking great pride in my meltdown. But God has the final word, and no matter what I do or say or how I act, I am His child. Rest assured that when I&#8217;m having an awful day and even behaving poorly, I get down on my knees to ask for forgiveness and help in doing better. As long as there is God, this is how it will always be. And, as I say in my poem, there is always God.</p>
