A nice surprise today to see my book, Internet Dating is Not Like Ordering a Pizza, featured on Entrepreneur Magazine. The review is listed under the small press book watch, undoubtedly as an off-shoot from my appearance in the Midwest Review of Books. Once again, Midwest Review of Books is an incredibly valuable resource for writers. It’s hard to get a review there because of the volume of books they get in, but if you can, it’s definitely worth it.

Cherie Burbach is the author of the poetry books The Difference Now, A New Dish, and Father’s Eyes. She used her experience with meeting her husband online to pen At the Coffee Shop, a humorous look at the world of Internet dating. Cherie is the Dating Feature Writer for Suite101.

Just finished an interview with Denise from the Gotta Write Network. She asked me some great questions, and covered a variety of topics from poetry to online dating.

Here’s a sampling of questions from our interview:

  • In “Father’s Eyes,” is it the eyes of Jesus or a mortal father you’re focusing on?
  • What have you learned about the strength of the human character?
  • What led to your exploring coffee shop dating? Did you think it was a good idea at first? Were you concerned you’d meet someone with emotional baggage?

  • In “The Difference Now” how do you teach people to gain perspective that will allow them to look back at their life with contentment instead of regret?
