Hey guys, got a new interview with the Lancaster Rule blog. I talk about the length of titles for my nonfiction books, my favorite writers, and my favorite question, “What do you try to get across in your written works?” Check it out.

I love it when writers actively promote each other. One thing I’ve learned from my time at large organizations like Suite and b5, is that the lessons I learn on a daily basis from the writers I work with are amazing. Blogging (and writing) changes quite a bit, and you really have to keep up with technology and trends. It’s not easy to do alone. But with a group of other writers, you can share information and get some great tips that you wouldn’t have even thought of asking for. For example, I just added some fun widgets to my blogs, all because someone mentioned them during a Ning chat. How cool is that?

To that end, I interviewed Jennifer Brown Banks back in August over at Working Writers. She’s a poet and you know that I love poets, right? You know that I think the world needs more poets, right? Right?

But the other great thing about my interview with her is that she is now doing a series on her Pen and Prosper blog called “the roar series” (as in writers hear us roar”) and she graciously asked if I wanted to be interviewed. I said, “yes please!” She really asked some great questions, too. The very first one had me thinking: “If your life story or your philosophy could be captured in a book title or famous first line, what would it be?” Find out my answer to that and her other questions, and don’t forget to leave a comment and let Jennifer know how much you enjoy her wonderful blog.

I’ve had two interviews in the last two days, which I suppose you could think of as a little “pre-virtual blog tour” activity for my latest book. Or, you could say that I forgot to schedule them for next month when the rest of my blog tour goes on. (But why do that? Let’s just pretend I wanted there to be a preview, like a movie pre-release.)

The first interview was at the fabulous Cathy Stucker’s blog, Selling Books. Love Cathy and all that she does for bloggers and writers. Have you signed up for Cathy’s Blogger Link Up? You should, it’s an amazing resource. I’ve got some wonderful interviews and guest posts for my blogs through the site. Today I appeared at Susan Whitfield‘s blog. Susan is an author who also helps other authors, and has tons of great interviews on her blog. I also interviewed Susan at my Working Writers site a while back, and she happily returned the favor.

Just think of these two as the preview for a fun-filled blog tour next month.

Ami at Muse Ink was kind enough to interview me for her fabulous blog. She asked me some very well-thought out questions. I always feel like the best interviews are the ones that really make you think, and she certainly did that! Of course it didn’t hurt that she featured a picture of my Packer tree. (She had me at hello there.)

Ami also did something very unique, in that she blogged about an interview I did with her for my Working Writers blog. While many writers mention it (and I’m always very thankful when they do!) she broke down the interview as a way to inform and teach her readers. In fact, I found myself learning a thing or two just by her critique.
