Evergreen Glass Sculptures
One thing I like about making glass sculptures is the hunt for materials. That’s as much fun as making the sculptures themselves. It’s especially cool when you suddenly hit on a similar color or design of glass at different places. That’s what happened with this evergreen glass sculpture. Suddenly I started seeing this distinct deep shade of green at various places. I picked up a vase at an estate sale, a candy dish at a rummage, and some dessert cups at Goodwill. Finally, I saw a bowl at thrift store, and I knew I had enough to make a whole sculpture.
This one is going on my porch.
First, I gathered all my pieces together. (They even match my tablecloth!)
Then, glue as usual.
Keep building.
Until, viola! You’re finished.
I really love how it looks when the light hits it.
