TV Shows That Have Turned It Around

Don’t you love it when you watch your favorite shows, they slow down and maybe even become a little boring, and then they manage to turn it around? As a writer, I love that because it’s the mark of great creative people. Here are a few of my favorite shows that lost it for a while, then managed to turn it around.
Scrubs
When Scrubs first premiered I loved it. Loved it! I worked with a woman at the time that “didn’t get it” and I’d sit there and explain the jokes to her. (Which always manages to be downer.) Anywho, a few years ago I lost interest. They had just done as much as thy could with it. This year, however, they have really managed to make it interesting once again. They did something that is very hard to do: bring on new characters while still making the old characters new and interesting. Well done Bill Lawrence and crew!
Fringe
I love J.J. Abrams so I gave Fringe the benefit of the doubt even after it slowed down to the point of being boring. I’m glad I stuck with it, because it’s outSTANDING now! I love the storylines, love the tie-ins of Walter and Peter and Olivia, and especially love the answering of questions they had started. Well done.
Will and Grace
Again, Will and Grace started out so strong, but somewhere in the middle it lost ground. When the producers finally decided to end it, the show became fabulous again. Great guest stars, hilarious stories, and the very best ending for a series I have ever seen in my life.
Seinfeld
Seinfeld is a known for starting out slow (and really stupid) until it became funny (and still stupid, but in a different way.)
Those are my picks. Which shows would you put on the list?
